Why
I was trying to find an app to use on my iPhone and in the car during my commute to listen to and memorize the Quran. But every app I came across lacked something: Some pushed ads that were too distracting to tolerate. Some asked for permissions that an app like this has no business asking for. Some had been linked to questionable data practices. And the ones that didn't, still lacked features and ease of use I wanted: delayed repetition of ayahs with the ability to customize the number of repetitions, speed, delay between repetitions, etc.
So I decided to build one I could use with peace of mind — and made it free for anyone else who wanted the same.
How
Repeat each ayah a chosen number of times — with a configurable pause between repetitions — so you can recite it back from memory. Variable-speed playback. A fill-in-the-blanks drill for memorization. Background audio that continues with the screen off.
